Saturday 27 April 2019 – Diabetes Expo 2019, Door Prize Competition(s) Terms and Conditions

  1. The Promoter is Diabetes Victoria (ABN 71 005 239 510) whose registered office is at 570 Elizabeth St, Melbourne VIC 3000.
  2. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions. Entries must comply with these terms and conditions to be valid.
  3. Entry is open to Australian residents only, who are 16 years and over at the time of entry. Anyone connected in any way with helping to set up the competition shall not be permitted to win the competition prizes, including employees of Diabetes Victoria or their family members.
  4. Contestants must be registered to attend Diabetes Expo 2019 by 11.59pm on Friday 26 April 2019, and be present on the day for the entire Diabetes Expo 2019 on Saturday 27 April 2019, in order for their entry to be valid.
  5. The list of potential winners will be collected upon entry to the Event at registration.
  6. The competition begins at 8am Saturday 27 April 2019 and closes for entry at 5.55pm on Saturday 27 April 2019. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.
  7. The Promoter will not accept responsibility for entries not received for whatever reason.
  8. The rules of the competition and the prizes for the winners are as follows:
  • By attending the Event, Diabetes Expo 2019 on Saturday 27 April 2019, you have entered into the event competition to win:
    • One (1) Fitbit Charge 3 RRP: $229.95
    • One (1) $500 Coles gift card RRP: $500
    • One (1) $500 Flight Centre gift card RRP: $500
    • One (1) KitchenAid Exactslice RRP: $499.00
  • There are four (4) possible winners of the Event competition.
  • Contestants must attend the Event on the day to have the chance to become a winner.
  • Competition entries will not be accepted by any other means.
  • Diabetes Victoria holds no responsibility to compensate the competition winner(s) if the Event, Diabetes Expo 2019, is cancelled, or amended in any way that lessens the value of the prize.
  1. All prize items are valued inclusive of GSTand Diabetes Victoria takes no responsibility for any variations in item values.  The prize is not transferable, exchangeable or redeemable for cash.  Any taxes (other than GST, if any) which may be payable as a consequence of a prize recipient receiving the prize are the sole responsibility of that prize recipient.
  2. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions without notice. Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as reasonably possible by the Promoter.
  3. The Promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any contestant by any third party connected with this competition.
  4. The winners will be chosen at random from a draw by a staff member appointed by Diabetes Victoria on Monday 29 April at 11.00am.
  5. Each winner will be contacted on Monday 29 April 2019 via phone.
  6. A winner cannot win more than one prize. If a person’s name is drawn twice, a new winner will be drawn.
  7. Contestants can opt-out from entering into the competition by notifying the Promoter that they do not want to be included within the draw for the prize(s) on the day of the event (Saturday 27 April 2019) as part of registration.
  8. Diabetes Victoria shall not be liable for any loss, damage or injury suffered by any winner, or anyone else availing from the prize, as a result of the winner accepting and/or using the prize.
  9. The Promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  10. The winner agrees to the use of his/her name for an unlimited period of time without remuneration for Diabetes Victoria promotional purposes. Any other personal data relating to the winner or any other contestants will be used solely in accordance with current Australian data protection legislation.
  11. The information provided will be used in conjunction with our Privacy Policy found at http://www.diabetesvic.org.au/privacy-policy.
  12. The competition and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Victoria.

  5. The competition begins at 5pm Monday 11 February 2019 and closes for entry at 11.59pm on Friday 29 March 2019. After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted.

  • There are two (2) possible winners of the Event
  • Contestants must be registered for Event to have the chance to become a winner.
  • Competition entries will not be accepted by any other
